About Us
A small family programme built around one breed, and one breed only.
One breed, done properly
Flavia Frenchies exists because French Bulldogs deserve breeders who specialise in them. This is not a programme that produces whatever is popular this year. We work with Frenchies, we keep our numbers small, and we put the time into the things that actually shape how a puppy turns out.
This season we have four litters and six puppies looking for homes — from Noodle, a tan boy with an outsized personality, through to Mima, whose isabella and tan coat is genuinely rare. Every one of them comes from AKC-registered parents you can read about on this site.
How our puppies are raised
The first eight weeks matter more than anything that comes after, so we spend them deliberately. Most of our litters go through early neurological stimulation — brief, gentle bio-sensor handling exercises in the first fortnight that are associated with calmer, more stress-resilient adult dogs.
From there it is socialisation, and we document it. Vacuum cleaners, doorbells, pots and pans, car rides, cats, large dogs, small dogs, older children and toddlers. Each puppy's page lists exactly what that individual puppy has met, so you are not guessing about what you are bringing home.
Potty training gets started before they leave us too — crate training, pads, a litter box or a doggie door depending on the litter. It will not be finished, but you will not be starting from zero either.
What we will tell you before you buy
French Bulldogs are a brachycephalic breed. The shortened muzzle that gives them that face also gives them a narrower airway than a long-nosed dog, and that has real consequences: they overheat easily, they should never be walked hard in summer, they should not swim, and most airlines will not carry them in cargo — nor should they.
None of that makes them a bad choice. It makes them a specific choice. A well-bred Frenchie in a home that understands the breed is one of the best companion dogs there is. We would rather have that conversation with you now than have you find out in July.
On pricing. Every puppy we place is $950 — one price, no exceptions. That includes the rare dilutes and merle patterns most breeders charge several times more for: lilac, isabella, lilac tan merle fluffy. We price on the puppy, not the pattern, because every one of them gets exactly the same start regardless of coat colour.
